What Is The SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern? Structure Of Examination
The examination pattern consists of Computer Based Examination and Skill Test. The Computer Based Examination or CBT comprises of three sections – General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness and English language and Comprehension. The total number of questions will be 200. Moreover, for each correct answer candidates will be given 1 marks. Correspondingly, candidates will have to attempt all the 200 questions in a total duration of 02 hours (120 minutes). The question paper will be of Objective Multiple choice type. Skill Test In Stenography – SSC Stenographer Grade C and D Marking Scheme
Candidates who qualify the Computer Based Examination will be asked to sit for the Skill test in Stenography. Qualifying marks will be decided by the organization. The skill test will be of qualifying nature. Minimum marks for the skill test will be decided by the organization according to the different categories. One dictation of 10 minutes will be given to the candidates in their previously set language (English or Hindi). Moreover, the department has specified the speed in the test grade wise. For Grade C post the speed during the dictation should be 100 words per minute. For Grade D it will be 80 words per minute. Some points are given below regarding SSC Steno Exam Pattern 2018:
- Candidates who choose to give the skill test in Hindi language will have to learn the English stenography and vice versa after the appointment. If the candidate fails to learn the required Stenography than their probation will not be cleared. - The venue for the skill test will be Commission‟s Regional/Sub Regional Offices or at any other venues as decided by the department.
